August Breaks
August tends to be a very popular month for heading south and getting some guaranteed sunshine. With the school holidays in full swing, destinations like Malaga, Gibraltar, Malta, Barcelona, Naples and Athens are hugely popular. For some sun without quite the numbers of tourists that you get elsewhere, you could also try Valencia, Seville or Palermo (Sicily).
Please note that everywhere is more expensive at this time of year so if you’re serious about savibg money, book in the first couple of months of the year.
