A small city named Gibraltar is worth visiting for housing many marvelous landmarks.  Being British Overseas Territory, it is very famous.  Because of its attractive places, people flock to Gibraltar. The attractive landmarks in the city of Gibraltar are many. Let us have a smart look at the top points of interest:

Europa Point is at tip of south side of Gibraltar’s peninsula. It is very catchy light house being the historic symbol of the city.

Ape’s Den is one such point. Watch out Gibraltar’s popular macaques. They are no doubt wild creatures. These apes have descended from North African Barbary macaques.

 The Moorish Castle is dating back to the 11th century. This “Tower of Homage” is all that remains of ancient castle complex. It is made up of many varieties of buildings, walls and many gates.

 Cafés, restaurants and bars are in plenty at Casemates Square. It is a large populous place where you find life at full swing.

 The most significant military installation in the Mediterranean is the Great Siege Tunnels of Gibraltar. It is an engineering marvel. Carved out of the face of the "Notch," the northern face of the Rock, using all manual labor, this labyrinth of tunnels was created by the British in only six weeks times period. It acted as a defense against a combined force from France and Spain.

 Gibraltar Botanic Gardens - also known as La Alameda Gardens – make a pleasant place to spend time away from the mundane often-busy attractions elsewhere on the island. This garden is at the end of Main Street near the Southport Gates. Visitors can also take in the Alameda Wildlife Conservation Park, a small zoo set up to house animals rescued by customs or police, which can't be returned to the wild, as well as an open-air theater hosting many excellent cultural and musical events.
